The submissions for the lightning round are due. We didn't manage to get everything in place for the Greet and Meet problems and ended up with 258 points. Now the real competition starts...

Scored 67 points on scenario 1001. Lightning round doesn't look too good with less than two hours to the deadline.

Looking into some options for numeric optimization, scipy.optimize and Openopt.

With the VM up and running it's time to get the visualization ready and start working on the controller programs. It would be nice to have something ready for the lightning round.

We've got the VM working correctly (?) now. Turns out that there was an error in the task spec...

The task consist of writing control software for satellites. The software controls the satellite by reading sensor data and writing actuator data.
This is our initial plan:
* Implement the VM in C, with a ctypes interface to Python
* Implement an execution environment in wxPython, where the scenario can be visualized.

We're just waiting now. Hoping for an exciting competition, hopefully with online score board. Wonder what "16" is all about?
